Learning Intention: We are learning to calculate percentages.
Group 1:
1. Maths Online: Introduction to Percentages 1572. Watch the video and complete questions.
2. Go to the Kmart website and do the activity we started yesterday. (Choose items and work out how much they will cost with a ten percent discount.)
If you are confident, you could change to a 20, 30 or 40% discount... Just find out the 10% then multiply it by 2 for 20%, by 3 for 30% or by 4 for 40%.
You can work together on this (you might need to help Tilli if she is at school today as she's been away!). If you get stuck ask someone from Group 2 for help please - try not to interrupt Mrs Irlam unless absolutely essential!
Group 2: Bargain shopping game. I have one complete set of cards for this game (on black coffee table at the front of the room). Miss S has two more sets - she is using them at 9am, so at 10am Mrs Irlam can choose someone to go and borrow them.
You will be playing in these groups:
Daniel, Alysha, Liam, Mikaila & Felicity
Tristan, Tye, Mackenzie, Emily & Hannah
Jaymee, Travis, Josh, Jaz, Callum & Erika
In your small group read these instructions together to work out how to play:
